Feeling Accomplished And Starting to Blog

All showered and squeaky clean!  Through the fog of this thing we call motherhood that happened to me by way of 3 kids almost all at once (well 3 kids all within 13 months, 28 days) it used to be that my hair was just standing on top of my head and I looked and felt like I unsuccessfully tried to outrun a freight train.  Now I'm a little more in the groove of things and I manage to find more time to twirl my curls a little so that I look much more put together than at the beginning of motherhood (thanks to many curly hair tutorials on www.YouTube.com).  My kids are brutal!  Stephen is my much loved son who is nearing 5 and my precious twin girls Isabella and Simone are nearing 4.  They have always taken advantage of the 3:2 child/parent ratio... 3:1 during the day.

I thought it would be neighborly of me to share this with anyone in cyberspace who desires a shower but can't seem to pull it off due to kiddie interference.  The secret of my success today were a few things that I had around the house and left me feeling accomplished.  Here are the things that saved my behind today:

Magnetic Letters -...

Just when I thought it was time to toss what I considered to be an old toy that has been reduced to junk status compliments of the Curious/Destructive Crew (depending on the day), I found that all was not lost.  Thanks you Crayola!!!  I will be contacting you soon about the possibility of getting a replacement dry erase board and perhaps a replacement chalk board for my very broken-in easel.

And lastly but certainly not least, LOL:

Ben and Jerry's was a post dinner treat I decided to give out just to have a few minutes of peace in the shower.  It certainly kept the kids occupied long enough for me to relax for 3 minutes under a stream of heavenly hot water.  I found this individual sized ice cream to be the perfect portion for my kids.  It wasn't necessarily the most peaceful shower but I am just happy with whatever I get at this point.

There you have it... this is how I achieved a shower well before midnight... I'm so proud.  The magnetic alphabet was a hit the entire day.  As a homeschooling mom I try to have loose lesson plans for my kids because we are very early on in the world of homeschooling.  Some would say this is premature education but I see it as a head start that I am happy to provide with light one on one home instruction and tons of community interaction.  The benefits are evident in my very curious crew and I look forward to sharing our experiences going forward on my lovely new blog.  I will be sure to share how my curious crew ended up with an advanced lesson on vowels and phonics today.  They were so intrigued by the info being shared with them that I decided not to underestimate their abilities and just go for it, today and everyday.

Satisfied
